How do you feel when you make a phone call and receive no response? How do you feel when the shrilling sound of your friend’s mobile phone chimes in in the middle of a conversation? The urge to tell them to pick it up or end it?
Whenever we are in desperate situations we call our parents. We call our close friends. And they are willing to give anything for us. Whenever an infant cries out at night or at any other time of the day, its mother comes for its help. If people can sacrifice for us, though struggling, how much is God willing to dispense to us if we ask in faith. With how much urgency. With how much delicacy. How fast is our Heavenly father, through the riches in the glory of Christ Jesus, going to respond whenever we cry out to Him?
God declares, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” –Jeremiah 33:3
May we find delight in knowing that He wears the Victor’s crown. That Jesus is always fighting and interceding for us. That His grace is sufficient. That He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask for or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.
We have only one task: To call on Him. He needs not an appointment. He needs not a particular protocol. Go to Him and call Him as you are. You do not need to call Him from the top of the mountains. He hears even the faintest whispers of our souls. Call Him today. Call Him now. He is always looking forward to our calls. He treasures our father-to-son conversations. Let Him know your fears. Lay them down to Him and let Him take the wheel. He is too faithful to mismanage your life.
