In the midst of all the noise, chaos, turbulence, successes and failures, we can loose our true identity in the rat race.

Who am I? This is a question that can easily be answered by my name is Eva Ndanu and I am a consultant. But besides my name and title if that’s one at all, who am I?

Who are you?

Are you owning and embracing the person you are or have become?

Have you ever wished to have somebody else’s life? And if so, why?

My mind just goes blank when I try to think about how our creator intended us to be similar yet so different. Different skin colors, different types of hair, different height, sizes and shapes, which is amazing and perfect.

We didn’t choose where to be born, who to be born to or when to be born. We just found ourselves and all these factors had been decided for us. Some things are mind blowing. I think you are insane if you don’t believe in a higher power.

Why didn’t you get your neighbor’s life?

This world needs you, yes you, just the way you are and the way you have been wired with your unique abilities and talents. There are spaces that only you can fill.

Let no one lie to you that you have nothing to offer this world. Do you think you are here just taking in someone else’s oxygen? If you weren’t needed on this earth, you wouldn’t be here anyway. You probably would have never existed.

Which brings me to this, what naturally comes to you? What can you easily do? What can you do for free? What breaks your heart? What would you like to change in this world? What constantly irritates you in your surrounding that you wish could be different?

Let’s take a journey in our minds to a scenario where we have enough money to sustain us for the rest of our lives, what would you still genuinely get engaged in doing? What brings you fulfillment?

Most of us are unhappy people because we simply don’t know who we are or we think that what we have to offer is ‘too small’.

Some of us also succumb to the societal standards and pressure, which is unfortunate but has become the reality for too many of us. We walk around thinking we are not enough and we don’t foot the bill. We wear clothes and paint our faces all in the effort of looking like another person, who told you that person has it all together?

It’s pointless trying to be someone else. What will happen to the real you and the things you were meant to do? Who will be you if you are somebody else?

Most of the times we may think that other people are probably having it easier or their life seems to be perfect. The assumption we make is that having their life would take away all the troubles and challenges we are currently facing. Surprise! Those people are having their fair dose of life too.

There is only room for you to be yourself. Fill that space.

Show the world who you truly are and what truly matters to you.

Dare to be you!
